Are you passionate about children's books and looking to be part of a growing, innovative publishing start-up? Little Press Publishing, a small independent children's book publisher, is seeking a Publishing Operations Associate to support our dynamic team.

• Metadata Management: Manage metadata for titles across all formats (print, ebook, audiobook), including book copy, BISAC codes, print trim, and more. Ensure metadata is accurate for use across distribution channels, retail platforms, and Edelweiss.
• Copy Creation: Write engaging, keyword-driven copy for children's book titles that captures the imagination and excitement of our books.
• Inventory Management: Oversee and manage book inventory to meet distribution needs.
• Accuracy Assurance: Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all metadata entries and copy, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

• Experience in metadata management for book publishing, with a focus on children’s literature.
• Copywriting Skills: Proven ability to craft creative, compelling, and SEO-aligned copy for children’s books.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive and Positive: A smart, positive team player who thrives in a start-up environment.
• Passion for Publishing: Interest in both the creative and business sides of publishing.

This is a 100% remote, freelance position.
