We are currently open by INVITATION-ONLY. 

That means that we are CLOSED to open submissions. Unless you received an invitation to submit through a Twitter Pitch, please do not send your manuscripts.


If we liked your picture book through a Twitter Pitch (#PBPitch and #SFPitch are a few that we participated in) please follow the below guidelines and add "____Pitch" to your subject line.  Thank you!

We consider picture book manuscripts for readers, ages 4-8.

We are accepting manuscripts from writers everywhere and are particularly interested in writers who are members of SCBWI.


We accept both agented and unagented submissions. 

We do not require exclusive submissions. 

Please be sure that your manuscript has been critiqued by other writers familiar with picture books. 

If you are submitting rhyme text, please be sure the meter and rhythm have been reviewed/critiqued.

Guidelines:

  • Children’s fiction picture books.
  • Word Count up to 600.
  • Email submissions only. Subject Line to include: " Submission {Title} {PB} {Your Name}"
  • Please send the complete manuscript in the body of the email. 
  • Author/Illustrators- Please send a dummy book or sample illustrations with your submission.
  • In the cover email please include 2 titles published within the past 5 years comparable to your title; writing/professional organizations with which you are a member; social media accounts and any other information you think relevant to your ability to market and help in the success of your title (example: attend XYZ children's book festivals.)
  • If you do not hear a response from us within 3 months, it's considered a pass.  Please do not be discouraged. We are a small press and therefore, highly selective. And, writing is highly subjective.

Open submissions window from August 21, 2022 through September 6, 2022.


After that window closes, we are going to participate in upcoming Twitter pitches.  If we like your story idea through a Twitter Pitch such as this one, then follow the guidelines below and add “______ Pitch” to your subject line.


At present, we are considering Young Adult fiction for ages 14 – 18 with a word count of 50,000-75,000 words.


Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Coming of Age, BIPOC, Fantasy/Supernatural, and LGBTQ+. 


We are in search for something fresh and new in an original voice that is well written.


We accept both agented and un-agented submissions. Feel free to send your work to other publishers as we do not require exclusive submissions at this time. 


Please be sure that your manuscript has been critiqued by other writers familiar with young adult books.


Guidelines:

  • YA fiction. Word Count 50,000-75,000
  • Email submissions only. In Subject Line Include: " Submission {Title} {YA} {Name}"
  • Please send the first 3 chapters ONLY as an attachment (.pdf preferred; word accepted.)

  • Since we receive a great number of submissions, we cannot respond to each one unless there is further interest. After 3 months, you may assume that we are not interested in publishing your work.

We look for professional children's book illustrators on a work for hire basis.
 

We are accepting manuscripts from writers everywhere and are particularly interested in illustrators who are members of SCBWI.


We accept both agented and unagented submissions. 

Debut illustrators encouraged, but please have original, full color art experience. 

We are also looking for MG novel illustrators for cover art.
